Dubbed "the Alice Waters of Booze," Alberta Straub has been called a cocktail innovator, aperitif artist and mixologist. While at the Orbit Room, Alberta was acknowledged as one of San Francisco's best bartenders. SF Weekly named her "Best Bartender in 2004" and San Francisco magazine honored her drinks as "Best Custom Built Cocktail" in its annual Best Of Awards. Her cocktails have been featured in 7 x 7, Chow, Esquire and Imbibe. Gourmet magazine called her drinks the best in San Francisco. She is currently filming a webcast series on cocktails.
