James brings CCD an international palate as well as a hip, urban perspective that characterizes the youngest generation of restaurants in San Francisco. In 2000, James opened Destino, a sophisticated pan-Latin restaurant that realizes a concept he'd been developing while growing up abroad in Spain, Peru and Australia. His cuisine feeds directly into the rise of Latin flavors on the market, and serves as inspiration for the introduction of more regional Latin dishes to mainstream America. A native San Franciscan who cooked for years at the acclaimed Zuni Café, James brings his fresh and modern approach to his work with CCD.
